Ten years ago, I left a very comfortable corporate job to listen to the voice in my heart that told me I was meant to be a writer.
I had been writing for myself my whole life. Countless journals, little stories everywhere. And everywhere I looked, a fantasy story imagined itself in my head — off the most random places. A hole under a tree: did a gypsy live there and come out only at night? A small door behind a cement cove: if I managed to enter it, would I cross into another realm?
I couldn’t quiet that voice anymore. And so I packed a bag and went. Living off my backpack and life savings, I flew to Mexico to write.
I knew I needed to take the risk rather than sit comfortably. Because wasn’t it well known that the dying wish of so many is the regret of the risks they didn’t take?
So I began writing. And I didn’t stop. And I still haven’t stopped.
I soaked up everything I could find about self-publishing. Two things stayed with me. One — choose what success means to you. Two — write a book for free so people can find you.
I did both.
At that time, aside from financial freedom, success meant one thing to me: to have my work translated into other languages one day. The idea that my words were important enough to be shared across cultures.
And then I wrote that free ebook. I didn’t think much of it — wrote it within a few weeks and started sharing it. I drew the cover myself. But so many people kept asking for a printed version that I got a proper cover made, printed it, and couldn’t believe how well it sold.
It kept selling. So much so that it attracted the attention of international publishers. I was happy being self-published, but I finally had an opening into the traditional publishing world. And so I graciously accepted.

Every morning is an invitation. This is how you answer it.
A bestselling guide to affirmation practice and sacred ritual, Daily Rituals walks you through creating your own altar, working with the five elemental energies, and building a daily devotion to your soul. Each affirmation is explored in depth — defined, felt, practiced, and journaled. This is the book that started it all for so many women, and it is still the one they reach for first.
Hungarian. Polish. Vietnamese. Russian. Chinese. French. English.
And counting.
This is a pinch-me moment. A moment where my actual manifestations have come true in writing. A book that flowed so naturally from me continues to move across oceans — finding its way into the hands of women who are learning spiritual practices for the first time. Crossing borders I had never crossed myself. Being read in scripts I cannot read. Held by hands I will never meet.
Every translation has been a true miracle. A wink from the Universe that I was right to listen to my heart. To keep going despite those who said don’t do it. Despite those who said the artist’s life is a humbling one, and difficult to ever survive.
I kept going.
And she is still going.
When I think about that girl who packed a bag and flew to Mexico with no guarantees — who drew her own cover and just started sharing — I feel so grateful she didn’t listen to the fear.
Seven languages. Seven corners of the world. And counting.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to begin.
