How To Feel Like Myself Again

 

Are you feeling lost? Do you feel ungrounded? Do you feel like you have somehow lost the connection to your inner self? Would you like to feel more like yourself again? 

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, it might be because you are ungrounded.

When we’re ungrounded we may feel depressed, or anxious, we may have difficulty making plans, or find ourselves indecisive or dependent on unhealthy habits. We can get lost on our pathway easily, and until we learn how to balance ourselves, it can affect almost every area of our lives.

When you’re going through a tough time in your life, navigating through hard challenges, that can make you feel disconnected with your spiritual self, it’s important to know what works for you to harmonize yourself back in alignment with your soul.

Meditate to feel like myself again

For example, I was recently visiting my loved ones in Australia, and even though I always tend to connect with myself regularly, my priority there was to be with my family. And when I got back from my travels and back into the real world, I was feeling a little disconnected from myself. 

 

In moments like this, it’s good to know how to ground ourselves back into our body and soul. This will make us feel safe, nurtured, and supported. From this space, we can make decisions for our life confidently and have complete clarity over our life.

 

So whatever life situation brought you to this page, here are a few steps you can take to find your way back to yourself and help you create that healthy routine for yourself that will act as an anchor for you.

1. MEDITATE

 

Meditation always helps us ground ourselves back into our body and soul. Even if you just do it for 10 minutes, it will help you settle down and it will bring a sense of peace to your mind. 2. GROUND WITH NATURE

 

Walking outside helps bring a change in perspective to your mind. When we are in nature, we connect back into the source from where it is that we came from. Nature teaches us how to self-heal and navigate our life paths with ease. A simple touch of dirt to our skin has the ability to ground our soul into our body, reminding us of who we really are.

3. PERFORM A GROUNDING RITUAL

 

Rituals can be an important tool in keeping yourself grounded. While we perform a ritual, we’re able to call upon our unconscious energy and invite it to come forth into our consciousness. This can raise our vibration, and help us be in unity with our higher self. Here is a little ritual I created when I returned from Australia to help me ground myself back into a healthy routine.

4. JOURNAL 

Journaling can be a great creative outline for you to ground yourself. When you allow yourself to express your internal thoughts with no judgments or fear, the energy of your feeling can be spoken and released through a tangible method. Here are a few questions to start with that will help ground you in the present moment: 

  • How do I feel?
  • What is making me feel this way? 
  • What strengths do I have to face this challenge?
  • What are my strengths? 
  • What does being grounded mean to me? 
  • What can I do to ground myself? 
  • What is my ideal routine? 
  • What is my life purpose?
  • What is my unique gift? 
  • How can I weave it into my day? 

 

Look at your answers and create powerful affirmations for yourself from them. Put them on post-it notes and place them in your space to remind you of your true essence throughout the day.
