Would you like to wake up feeling energized? Do you find it difficult to feel motivated to start your day? We all strive to have great mornings that prompt us for a wonderful day, and I find that the key to having a fulfilling day is hidden in something as simple as a morning ritual.
A morning ritual is a series of actions that we take upon waking up that hold an intention behind them for what we want to achieve. It can be as simple as making the bed to invite organization into your day, drinking a glass of water to nurture your body with health, or sitting with a cup of hot tea while speaking affirmations to yourself. It could also include grounding practices, meditation, or journaling, so you can start the day centered and in connection with your Higher Self. Incorporating spiritual activities into your morning can be an incredibly powerful way to start the day.
Our habits are the driving force that guides us to create the change that we seek. To achieve our goals we must start with small changes every day.
The first step when starting to create your morning ritual is to ask yourself:
Once you have the answers, you can then write down small actionable steps you can take to support this. How often will you need to take these steps? Can you make them into a habit? Repetition of our habits will bring you the results you are looking for.
By creating small positive changes in your daily routine, you are contributing to your own personal development, raising your vibration higher, and shifting your consciousness to lead a fulfilled life.
Here are just a few ideas from my book Sacred Space Rituals to get you started:
But most importantly, see what it is that fills your cup, what it is that really supports you on your journey, and incorporate that into your morning routine. Start small, with one thing that you add to your morning ritual, and slowly, bit by bit, add to it.
If you feel like you don’t know where to start, or you need just a little bit of head start, I’ve created a short free 7-day program called Morning Meditations, to help you start up with a little support. Each day you’ll get a quick 5 minute meditation, journaling prompts, and a daily email. You can sign up for it here.
Hope this helps you create a beautiful morning ritual, so you can start your days feeling energized and ready to step into the world.
Love, Phoebe
