Do you have trouble relaxing after a long day? Do your daily tasks and engagement with people leave you overstimulated when it’s time to go to sleep?
Every day in our lives we are confronted with challenges, and people that can leave us feeling anxious and unable to relax when we need it the most. But if we know how to nurture our mental well-being, we can release anxiety, stress, or fear in any environment.
Remember–you always have control over your life. You can control your breath and use this potent tool to bring you peace and ease. And you have control over your habits, you can create them to support your ultimate well-being. And most importantly, you have control over how you react to life’s challenges.
I find that implementing an evening ritual can help ground my soul into my body, cleanse any stagnant energies, and release what is no longer serving me. This relaxes me and gets me ready to fall asleep and get a good night’s rest.
Here are some ideas on what to include in your evening rituals, taken from my book Sacred Space Rituals:
1. Invite peace: relax your body in a warm bath
2. Encourage self-love: write down 3 things you did well today
3. Release stagnant energy: stretch or self-massage
4. Welcome clarity & lightness of being: meditate for 10-30min
5. Self-Soothe: Drink hot tea, or smell essential oils
6. Attract Success: envision the life you want to live
7. Rest and Replenish: ask for protection as you dream

Here are some other resources that can help you find calm in your life:
The more consistent you are in your practice, the more in tune you will be with yourself, and your energy. This is helpful because you will always know when it is time to release any heavy energies that do not belong to you. And you will be equipped with tools that will help you release them and return them back into the Universe.
I hope these relaxing ritual ideas can help you find the calm you are looking for. I would love to hear what you are implementing into your evening ritual. Let me know in the comments below!
